Fraud Protection Policy

Applies To: All merchants using Zcoders Private Limited Payment Gateway

1. Purpose

This policy is designed to ensure the integrity, transparency, and security of the Zcoders Private Limited Payment Gateway. It outlines our zero-tolerance approach to fraudulent behavior and enforces strict transaction verification protocols to protect both merchants and users.

2. Definition of Fraud

Fraud refers to any dishonest or unlawful activity intended to deceive or cause loss to customers, Zcoders Private Limited, or other stakeholders. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Submitting fake or unauthorized transactions.
• Misrepresenting goods or services.
• Using stolen payment information.
• Engaging in chargeback fraud.
• Any deceitful act that undermines platform trust.

3. Transaction Security Measures (3D Secure)

• OTP/MPIN (One-Time Password) Requirement: Every user transaction must be verified using a valid OTP/MPIN. Funds cannot be deducted from the user’s account unless the correct OTP/MPIN is entered. This ensures that only the authorized user can approve a payment.
• Awareness About Refund Scams: If a user receives a fraudulent call claiming that money was mistakenly sent to them and is asked to send it back, Zcoders Private Limited will not be responsible for any losses caused by such social engineering scams. No refund will be issued in these cases because our system guarantees that no funds can be sent without OTP/MPIN approval by the user. Users are advised to be vigilant and never share OTPs/MPIN or transfer funds based on verbal claims from unknown parties.

4. Merchant Responsibilities

All merchants must:

• Use the payment gateway in a lawful and honest manner.
• Ensure that their business practices are transparent and ethical.
• Educate their staff and customers on safe transaction practices.
• Immediately report any suspicious activity to Zcoders Private Limited.

Any merchant found intentionally committing fraud or aiding in fraud will face permanent suspension, legal action, and financial penalties.

5. Investigation & Enforcement

When Zcoders Private Limited suspects intentional fraud:

• The merchant’s account will be temporarily suspended.
• A full investigation will be carried out with supporting documents reviewed.

6. Finality of Authorized Transactions

Once a transaction is completed with a verified OTP/MPIN by the users, it is considered authorized and irreversible. Zcoders Private Limited will not entertain refund claims where the user was misled after willingly completing a transaction with OTP/MPIN confirmation.

7. Policy Updates

Zcoders Private Limited reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Merchants will be notified of any major changes, and continued usage of the gateway implies acceptance of the updated policy.

8. Acknowledgment

By using Zcoders Private Limited Payment Gateway, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Fraud Protection Policy.
